Privacy and terms of use
Elysium Tools is run by Elysium λ Development & Research (NIF 321979257PT, Bragança, Portugal). This page explains what happens to your data and the rules for using the tools. Questions: info@elysiumdr.eu.
What we process
To download a video, the server receives the link you paste, fetches the video from the platform and keeps the resulting file for 15 minutes so your browser can save it; then it is deleted. To convert a PDF to Word, the server receives the edited PDF, deletes it as soon as the Word file exists and deletes the Word file after 15 minutes. PDF pages edited in the browser (merge, reorder, rotate, delete, extract) and the photos used in “ID card to PDF” never reach our servers.
IP address, limits and protection against abuse
To keep the service free and available, each operation is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, which helps tell people from automated abuse, and counted against hourly limits. The limits use a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address that is kept in memory for one hour and never stored with your links or files. Cloudflare processes connection data as our infrastructure provider.
Accounts, free licenses and privacy
The tools have no advertising, no advertising or analytics cookies and no analytics tracking. A verified Elysium account and a free license approved in the CRM are required. Firebase Authentication manages sign-in. The name, email address, request, license status and administrative decisions are stored in the Elysium profile and CRM. An essential secure session cookie is used to authorize operations. We do not sell personal data. The legal basis for the processing described is your request to use the tool and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). You can exercise your rights of access, erasure, objection and the others in the GDPR by writing to info@elysiumdr.eu, and complain to the Portuguese data-protection authority (CNPD).
Acceptable use and copyright
Use the tools only with content you own or have permission to use, and respect the terms of each platform. Do not use the tools to infringe copyright or for automated bulk downloading. Rights holders can report misuse to info@elysiumdr.eu. The tools do not store or republish content.
No warranty
The tools are provided free of charge, as they are, without guarantees of availability or results. Platforms change constantly and a link that works today may stop working. To the extent permitted by law, Elysium is not liable for losses arising from their use. These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
Open-source software
The PDF editor runs pdf.js (Apache 2.0) and pdf-lib (MIT) in your browser. On the server, the video downloader uses yt-dlp (Unlicense) and FFmpeg (LGPL/GPL), and Word conversion uses pdf2docx (MIT) with PyMuPDF (GNU AGPL v3), all without modifications. The source code of the Elysium components that work with them is available on request at info@elysiumdr.eu.
